Opeyemi Akintunde is a visionary Christian content creator, writer, and filmmaker with a deep passion for using media to inspire and transform lives. As the Creative Director of Deep Thoughts Ministry International, she leads faith-based storytelling initiatives that nurture strong moral values, strengthen families, and provide biblical guidance on critical social issues, including child abuse, women’s rights, and gender-based violence.
With a background in Mass Communication from Covenant University, Nigeria, Opeyemi is a Certified Director, Screenwriter, Producer, and Video Editor from various prestigious film academies. Her remarkable body of work includes 36 published novels, over 50 acting credits, and more than 150 produced films, including the cinema release Stepping into Maggie’s Shoes, solidifying her influence in faith-based media.
Beyond filmmaking and writing, Opeyemi is a dedicated mentor and educator She is the Founder and Convener of DT-Lighthouse Creative Academy, an offshoot of Deep Thoughts Ministry International, where she trains aspiring creatives in scriptwriting, broadcasting, novel writing, acting, cinematography, video editing, and animation. As a sought-after speaker, she has addressed audiences at universities and academic forums, including Pan African University, on topics such as creativity, relationships, discovering purpose, and spiritual growth.
Opeyemi is happily married to Pastor Akinwale Akintunde, and together they are blessed with wonderful children.
