DON’T MISS YOUR MORNING

A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Lara was known by everyone as “the dependable one.”
She was kind, faithful, hardworking, and always willing to help others. At work, she was the first to arrive and the last to complain.

But deep inside, Lara was tired.
While others who barely worked seemed to progress, her own life felt stagnant. The rent on her tiny apartment kept increasing, her prayers seemed unanswered, and discouragement slowly crept into her heart.

One evening, after another exhausting day, she whispered bitterly,
“What is the point of always doing the right thing?”
The next morning, she ignored her alarm and turned over in bed.
For the first time in years, Lara decided she was tired of trying so hard.

Unknown to her, the company’s chairman had arrived unexpectedly that morning with a surprise gift, a huge cash reward and a car for the first employee to arrive at work consistently and faithfully.
Everyone already assumed Lara would be the winner.

Who else could it possibly be?
But that morning, another employee named Amaka arrived first. She had recently decided to become more disciplined after constantly being inspired by Lara’s consistency.

As the chairman handed Amaka the car keys and announced the reward, Amaka screamed with excitement:
“Ah! See what God has done! And today is the first day I decided to start coming early like Lara!”

Lara walked in just in time to hear those words.
Her heart sank.
The branch manager looked at her in disbelief.

“Lara… what happened? We were certain this blessing was yours.”
Tears filled her eyes as she whispered,
“I became discouraged… I got tired.”
The manager sighed gently and replied:
“Never become weary in doing good. At the proper time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up.”

Many people lose their rewards not because they were unqualified, but because discouragement made them stop too soon.

The enemy knows he may not be able to destroy your destiny completely, so sometimes he simply sends weariness.

Because a tired heart is often tempted to quit.
Don’t give up on being faithful.
Don’t abandon consistency.
Don’t let temporary frustration make you unavailable for the blessings prepared for you.

Your morning is coming.
Just don’t miss it.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, give me strength to remain faithful even when I feel discouraged.

Father, let me not become weary at the edge of my breakthrough.

Lord, may my blessings never meet me absent or unprepared.

Every arrow of discouragement fired into my heart, lose your hold in Jesus’ name.
