WHEN GOD HOLDS THE STEERING

Ada had plans for her life, clear, detailed, and well thought out. She knew where she wanted to go, how she wanted to get there, and how long it should take. Everything was mapped out.

But somehow, things kept going differently.
Opportunities she expected didn’t come.
Doors she didn’t plan for began to open.
And the path she found herself walking looked nothing like what she had designed.

One evening, frustrated and confused, she whispered,
“Lord, why does it feel like I’m not in control of my own life?”

As she sat quietly, reading her Bible, her eyes fell on a passage in Ezekiel. She read about strange living creatures, full of life, full of purpose and something caught her attention:

“They went wherever the Spirit would go… and the wheels rose along with them, because the spirit of the living creatures was in the wheels.”

She paused.
Read it again.

Then it clicked.

The direction of the wheels was not random.
It was not self-driven.
It was Spirit-led.

In that moment, Ada realized something deep. The problem was not that her life felt out of control…
The problem was that she had been trying to control what was meant to be led by God.

That night, her prayer changed:
“Lord, I don’t just want movement, I want direction.
Let Your Spirit be in the wheels of my life.”

Slowly, peace replaced confusion.
She stopped forcing outcomes and started following leading.
And though the journey was still unfolding, she now had confidence
Not because she knew the road,
But because she trusted the One steering it.

Life is not meant to be self-driven.
Without God’s direction, movement can still lead to the wrong destination.

When the Spirit of God is in your “wheels,”
you don’t just move, you move right.

Surrender your plans.
Release control.
Let Him lead.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Ezekiel 1:12 – “They went in whatever direction the spirit chose, and they moved straight forward in any direction without turning around.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Lord, let Your Spirit guide every decision and direction of my life.
Father, remove every desire to control what You have already planned.
Lord, be in the wheels of my life so that I may walk in Your perfect will.
