RUNNING ON EMPTY

The road was long and quiet.
Chinedu gripped the steering wheel, glancing nervously at his dashboard. The fuel gauge had been acting funny for days, but he ignored it. After all, he had places to be.

Suddenly, the car jerked.
Then stopped.

Right there, in the middle of nowhere.

He tried to restart it. Nothing.
Reality hit him, he was out of fuel.

Frustrated, he stepped out of the car and looked around helplessly. No nearby station. No passing help. Just silence.

As he leaned on the car, tired and stranded, a thought dropped into his heart:
“Isn’t this how your life feels sometimes?”

Moving… but empty.
Trying… but drained.
Existing… but without strength.

Chinedu sighed deeply. He knew that feeling all too well.

Just like that car, many people are on the journey of life without the fuel required to finish it. They rely on their own strength, pushing forward until they suddenly break down.

But life especially the Christian journey was never designed to run on human strength alone.

A car cannot run without fuel.
Likewise, a believer cannot go far without the help of the Spirit.

Human strength will fail.
Motivation will fade.
Energy will run dry.

But the Spirit of God is the only fuel that sustains both your spiritual walk and your daily life journey.

Without Him, you may start well… but you won’t finish strong.

Remember the five foolish virgins, they had lamps, but no extra oil. When it mattered most, they were empty. And being empty cost them everything.

If you feel tired, drained, or stuck today,
it may not be because the journey is too hard
it may be because you are running on empty.

Refuel.
Return to God.
Depend on His Spirit again.

Because only He can carry you from where you are
to where you are meant to be.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
1 Samuel 2:9 – “For by strength shall no man prevail.”

PRAYER POINTS:

Holy Spirit, come afresh upon me and fill me again.
Lord, I receive supernatural strength for my journey in life and destiny.
Father, fuel me up spiritually and physically so I will not break down along the way.
