SINGLED OUT BY GRACE

A Deep Thoughts Devotional Story

Tarela never considered herself the “standout” type.
At her company, there were smarter colleagues, more connected people, and even those with better qualifications. Yet, when the promotion list came out, her name topped it.

Everyone was shocked — even Tarela herself.

“How did you get chosen?” one of her co-workers asked in disbelief.

“I honestly don’t know,” she smiled. “All I know is that I prayed for God’s favour.”

That night, in her quiet time, she remembered the story of Mary — a young, ordinary girl among many others. Yet, Heaven chose her to carry the Saviour of the world.

It wasn’t beauty, position, or perfection that made Mary stand out — it was favour.

Tarela realized something powerful:
You don’t have to be the best by the world’s standards — you just need God’s hand on you.

You may not be the most talented, connected, or experienced, but when God’s favour singles you out, no one can take your place.

Others may do what you do — sell what you sell, apply for what you apply for, or desire what you desire — but grace will cause your name to be the one that shines through.

Stop comparing yourself. Instead, position yourself under divine favour. Because when God decides to lift you, it won’t matter how many others are ahead — you’ll still be chosen despite them all.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
Luke 1:28 (KJV) — “And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.”

PRAYER POINTS:
1️⃣ Lord, let Your favour single me out for greatness, despite all others.
2️⃣ Father, let my name be remembered for promotion and divine opportunities.
3️⃣ Lord, help me not to compare myself with others but to rest in Your grace.
4️⃣ May Your hand of favour distinguish me in my career, business, and relationships.
