‘WHEN THE ENEMY WEARS A FAMILIAR FACE’

The first time I met Clara, she was everything I prayed for in a house help; polite, respectful, hardworking. My friends even joked she could pass for my younger sister.

Three years later, my home started collapsing from the inside. My husband fell mysteriously ill. My children became constant patients at the hospital. My own health deteriorated, and our finances vanished like water in sand.

Doctors gave different diagnoses, kidney failure, liver infection, malaria. Nothing matched, and nothing worked.

One night, broken and desperate, I went before God:
“Lord, this is not ordinary. Show me the root.”

For seven nights, I prayed from midnight till 3 a.m., declaring, “Satan, get out of my house!”

On the seventh night, as the prayer got intense, Clara burst into tears. She confessed that for months she had been seeing an old woman in her dreams, handing her powder to sprinkle in our meals. The shocking part? The powder appeared in her palm even after she woke up.

I was ready to explode in anger when I heard in my spirit: “He entered her.”

Then John 13:27 came alive: “As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him…”

The real enemy wasn’t Clara.
It was the spirit that had entered her to destroy my home.

We prayed for her deliverance. She gave her life to Christ, and healing began in my family.

The greatest danger isn’t always the stranger at the gate, it’s when the enemy uses someone inside.

Judas walked with Jesus daily, yet Satan entered him.
Peter loved Jesus deeply, yet Jesus had to pray that Satan would not sift him.

That’s why we must pray, not only for ourselves, but for those close to us. A colleague, sibling, friend, or employee may unknowingly become a weapon in the enemy’s hand.

Before you fight the person, discern the spirit.
