‘WHEN GOD SEES YOUR SACRIFICE’

When Femi’s business crashed, he prayed for a big turnaround.
He fasted. He made declarations. He even attended every prophetic service.

But one day during worship, the Holy Spirit whispered:
“You’re asking Me for a BIG miracle, but you’ve never given Me a BIG sacrifice.”

Femi’s mind flashed back to his wardrobe, rows of designer shoes and suits. His fragrance shelf looked like a boutique. Yet, every Sunday, he dropped the same crumpled ₦500 note into the offering basket.

The conviction was deep. That week, he sold one of his most prized possessions, a luxury watch he had saved for months to buy and gave the entire amount towards a church building project.

It was painful. He gave with tears in his eyes. But three months later, a business contract came through, so big it restored his finances in one sweep.

Femi learned a timeless truth: God responds to faith expressed through sacrifice.

We often pray for God’s “big hand” while offering Him something that costs us nothing.

David understood this principle: “I will not offer to the LORD… that which costs me nothing” (2 Samuel 24:24).
Solomon sacrificed a thousand burnt offerings, and that same night, God visited him with an open cheque (2 Chronicles 1:6–7).
Even God Himself gave His only Son to gain many sons and daughters (John 3:16).

Sacrifice isn’t about the amount, it’s about the cost to you. A thousand naira from your last salary may be more sacrificial than a million from your abundance.

If you want to see God move in an extraordinary way, give Him something extraordinary.

1. Lord, give me a willing heart to obey You in sacrificial giving.

2. Father, help me to hold nothing back from You.

3. Lord, as I sacrifice in obedience, let my offering speak in heaven for my turnaround.
