‘YOU ARE NOT LOST IN THE CROWD’

A Deep Thoughts Devotional

Ireti sat quietly in church, watching yet another engagement announcement flash on the screen. She clapped, smiled, and mouthed “Congratulations,” but inside, her heart was cracking again.

She had always been the beautiful one, best dressed, most admired, the “wife material” everyone thought would marry first. But years had passed. The compliments had slowed, and so had the proposals.

One night, she knelt to pray and whispered:
“Lord, have You forgotten me?”

No, He hasn’t.
Like Mephibosheth, son of royalty, dropped and forgotten, you may feel sidelined, reduced, or unseen.
But just like David remembered Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9, God will raise a voice on your behalf.

He has not lost track of your name.
He has not misplaced your case file.
Your season of silence is not the end of your story.

God knows how to stir hearts and open doors. He knows how to lift those bowed low.
If He remembered Joseph in prison…
If He remembered Hannah in her waiting…
If He remembered Mephibosheth in his forgotten place…
He will remember you too.

KEY SCRIPTURE:
2 Samuel 9:7 – “Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan…”

DECLARATION PRAYER:
🙏 Father, thank You because You have not forgotten me.
🙏 Stir up remembrance in the hearts of my helpers.
🙏 Restore my rightful seat at the table in Jesus’ name.
🙏 Let every identity-altering experience lose its hold over me.

You may feel left out, but you’re not left behind.
He’s still working quietly, intentionally, faithfully.
Your name will be mentioned.
Your story will be rewritten.
Your crown will not miss your head.
